Let’s Play – No Toys Needed

March 14, 2014

“Life is more fun if you play games.” ― Roald Dahl, My Uncle Oswald My friend got me thinking after I saw her Facebook status… “Last night I spent 15 minutes in my basement waving my arms trying to tag Ethan while he tried to get past me to touch the wall. It was the dumbest, nonsensical, … More Let’s Play – No Toys Needed

The Most Remarkable 10 Minutes Of My Day

March 5, 2014

Yep, those are my three kids sitting on the table. Your eyes do not fool you, they are all eating popsicles and yes they are all staring at the television. At least I managed to have 2 out of the 3 fully dressed…. As they say perched on the edge of the table, I sat at … More The Most Remarkable 10 Minutes Of My Day

Little Tikes Bouncy House – My Review

March 4, 2014

Having 3 young kids, I have gone through my share of great and not so great kid products. It’s great to find a toy or activity that keeps the kids entertained for more than a few minutes, one they can use together and can withstand the rough treatment my kids are likely to give it. … More Little Tikes Bouncy House – My Review

How Yogurt Caused A Public Tantrum

March 2, 2014

As it’s said, There’s a first for everything and the first I went through this week was my son’s first public temper tantrum. We’ve all been there, and if you haven’t yet, chances are you will.  My son is a (usually) happy, energetic and sometimes feisty 18 month old who knows what he wants and when it … More How Yogurt Caused A Public Tantrum

When A Pink Shirt Is Not Just A Pink Shirt.

February 26, 2014

I asked my daughter last night at dinner what she was going to wear to school the next day. She told me (although I did already know) that she was going to wear a pink a shirt. The conversation went something like this: Me: Why are you going to wear a pink shirt? Her: It’s … More When A Pink Shirt Is Not Just A Pink Shirt.

Please Excuse My Potty Mouth

February 23, 2014

The title should really read Please Excuse My Child’s Potty Mouth. I just don’t get it, what is the deal with 4 yr olds and loving the word poop? My daughter is in her first year of kindergarten and honestly, I really wasn’t expecting my darling daughter to entertained by “bathroom” talk. Was I naive to think … More Please Excuse My Potty Mouth

Ever Feel Defeated? Me too.

February 21, 2014

de·feat·ed diˈfētid/ adjective  1.having been beaten in a battle or other contest.   I was walking home with another mother after dropping my daughter off at school ad we got chatting about our kids.  Now this mom has four boys and two of them are 2-year-old twins, so of course I asked her the question … More Ever Feel Defeated? All It Took Was A Broken Bone

February 17, 2014

I write this as I am sitting in the waiting room of the fracture clinic at the hospital. This is hopefully my last visit as have been coming since October, and quite frankly I am tired of paying for high price of parking! Let’s rewind to what brought me here. I am here because broke … More All It Took Was A Broken Bone

5 Things I Want My Kids Learn From The Olympics

February 12, 2014

Oh the Winter Olympics! There is really something special about the winter games for us Canadians.  Maybe it’s because we win more medals at the winter games than we do in the summer, or perhaps because winter is just part of us and the events are sports that a lot of Canadians participate in for … More 5 Things I Want My Kids Learn From The Olympics

One Pound At A Time.

February 10, 2014

I recently finished a 12 week weight loss challenge in my community. I have more energy to play with my kids and I feel so much better than I do before starting. My husband was thinking about selling our barely used treadmill a few months ago, but now I am running on it while … More One Pound At A Time.

I am the mother of 3 gorgeous children that consistently remind me that magic is all around if you look for it. I am married to a great man who holds my hand every step of this adventure we are on together. I love my coffee in the morning, afternoon and night. Same goes for chocolate and cupcakes. In my down time, I work full time for Toronto Paramedic Sercice as a dispatcher and call taker, where I enjoy my coffee, chocolate and cupcakes all while doing my best to help people in some scary situations. My job has taught me the importance of great coworkers, the fragility of life and to make the most of days off.
